LAWRENCE, Kan.- Kansas safety Darrell Stuckey has been recognized as one of the best in the nation at his position. The senior from Kansas City, Kan. is a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, which is given annually to the top defensive back in college football.
Stuckey is one of 12 semifinalists. He has started a team-best 38 consecutive games. He has 56 tackles this season.
Three Thorpe Award finalists will be named on Nov. 23.
