COLUMBIA, Mo.- The Missouri men's basketball team has confirmed three signings in the early signing period. Phil Pressey, Kadeem Green, and Ricky Kreklow have inked on to play for the Tigers in 2010. Head coach Mike Anderson announced the signings Friday.
"We are certainly excited to have these three young men join our program. All three come from tremendous families and they are very talented basketball players. We were able to attract three guys that we identified early on in the recruiting process and that speaks volumes about the growth of the Mizzou brand."
The prize of the class is Pressey. The 5'10" guard averaged 19 points and 10 assists a game for Dallas Episcopal as a junior. He is considered a top-60 recruit by most recruiting services. His father is former NBA player and coach Paul Pressey.
"For us, Phillip is one of the best point guards in the country. He's a winner. He has a toughness and tremendous feel for the game."
The Tigers also added a big man in 6'9" forward Kadeem Green. He is a native of Canada but is playing prep ball in North Carolina.
"Kadeem is an athletic, skilled forward that uses his 7'1" wingspan to rebound and stay active on both ends of the floor."
The final recruit is a hometown addition. Ricky Kreklow is a 6'5" shooting guard out of Rock Bridge High School in Columbia. His parents are the volleyball coaches at Missouri.
"We have had a chance to be around Ricky and his family for the past four years and as many Tiger fans know, he is a terrific young man and a very talented basketball player."
