COLUMBIA, Mo.- The Missouri basketball team cruised through the first exhibition game. Five Tigers scored in double figures as they whipped Truman State 96-33.
Missouri jumped out to a 23-3 lead to open the game. The Tigers forced 28 turnovers. They had 20 steals. Missouri shot 49 percent for the day. This one was never close.
Laurence Bowers cleaned up in the paint for Mizzou. He had 14 points and 12 rebounds. J.T. Tiller scored 13. Kim English, Justin Safford, and Mike Dixon each had 10 points. Dixon was impressive in his first collegiate action.
Missouri will be back in action next Friday as they host Northwest Missouri State.
