LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas football redshirt freshman D.J. Marshall has been diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma.
Marshall, a redshirt freshman from Mesquite, Texas, told his coaches and teammates about the diagnosis Thursday.
He will undergo tests before doctors determine a course of treatment.
"The prognosis for recover from Hodgkin lymphoma is good," said team head physician Larry Magee.
Head coach Mark Mangino says Marshall will not practice, but is still a part of the team.
