Do you realize what it means to 18, 19, 20-year-old kids to walk around campus, being showered with all kinds of adoration from fellow students?
No school in America knows the meaning of B.M.O.C. - “Big Man on Campus” more than the Kansas Jayhawks.
They're not student-athletes---they're like young rock stars. At least that’s the way they’re perceived in a crowd on campus.
So I'm a little surprised that Bill Self continues to play down the No. 1 ranking. This is something he should be proud of. He doesn't have to gloat about it, but come on – savor the moment.
