KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City's newest professional sports coach stopped by the NBC Action News studio for an interview Friday.
Scott Hillman tells NBC Action News the highly-anticipated name for the Independence hockey club will be revealed Wednesday, June 24 from the steps of the Truman Library in Independence.
Does that mean the team will have a name related to Harry S. Truman, favorite son of Independence and former U.S. president?
"They won't even tell me what the name is for fear I will leak it out," says Hillman.
According to the
club's Web site, the team name will come from one the list of finalists from a "Name That Hockey Team" fan drawing:

Hillman joins the Central Hockey League from Knoxville, Tenn., where he took the Ice Bears to back-to-back playoff titles as head coach.
