KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Wind energy has skyrocketed in Northwest Missouri.
Experts said the completion of the Farmers City Wind Farm near Tarkio, Mo., has increased the state's wind farm capacity by 90%.
According to a national survey, Missouri received the third-highest amound of wind farm capacity in the nation.
Experts also said the increase to a total of 306 megawatts was the largest jump among any state in the nation.
