Police say a vandal slashed six tires on four of Mission, Kan. police department cars on May 27, 2009
MISSION, Kan. – A 9-1-1 call from a man who claimed to have slashed the tires on several police cars, turned out to be true.

Investigators say someone punctured the tires on four of the Mission, Kan., police cars around 5 a.m. Wednesday.

In all, police say, the vandal damaged six tires.

Officers found a small knife near one of the cars and believe it was used to slash the tires.

Police say they do have a few leads, but no suspects are in custody.
