Two Killed in Train Collision

AMSTERDAM, Mo. – Two people were killed early Saturday afternoon when their car was struck by a train.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said the pair were reportedly killed when their car collided with the train on Highway Y in Bates County.

Officials are still investigating the accident.

Police say the crash killed Linn Valley, Kan. resident Mary Redmond, 49, and Amsterdam resident John South, 43.
