Two Charged in Cass County Murder

CASS COUNTY, MO – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people allegedly responsible for a weekend homicide.

Prosecutors charged 27-year-old Christopher Sullivan of Pleasant Hill and 25-year-old Monica Foust of Raymore.

On Sunday afternoon, 35-year-old Steven Lawrence was found shot to death in his front yard in the 1100 block of North Lyne Avenue.  That is in rural Cass County.

Sullivan faces charges of first degree murder, armed criminal action and tampering with evidence.  His bond is $1-million. 

Foust is charged with tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution.  Her bond is $25,000.

The suspects are in custody at the Cass County jail.
