Toy and Food Drive in Johnson County

OLATHE, Kan. – For a sixth year, Johnson County Public Safety officers are spending the weekend collecting toys and food for families in need of some help this holiday season.

To meet the goal of helping all needy families this year, police officers, firefighters, paramedics and community volunteers are collecting donations at four area Wal-Mart stores this weekend.

The Toy and Food Drive will continue Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the following locations:

• 15700 S. Metcalf, Overland Park
• 1725 E. Santa Fe, Gardner
• 13600 S. Alden Street, Olathe
• 395 N. K-7 Highway, Olathe

In 2008, the Toy and Food Drive provided help for more than 240 families, including 625 children.
