Teenager Seriously Hurt By Pipe Bomb

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured Saturday night when a pipe bomb exploded as he lit it.

Police say the teen lit a pipe bomb on the porch of a vacant house in the 3900 block of Wabash about 10 p.m. and it went off before he could run away.

He suffered a serious head injury and was first in critical condition, but has now been upgraded to serious.

The Kansas City, Missouri Police and Fire Departments, and ATF agents are all investigating the incident.
