KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The suspect in Monday's deadly hit-and-run crash on Kansas Highway 7 in Johnson County has turned himself in.

NBC Action News has learned Clark Montgomery, 32, surrendered to authorities Thursday morning.

He's charged in Johnson County Court with the felony of failure to stop at an accident resulting in death or great bodily harm, and driving with a suspended license.

Montgomery is accused of driving a large truck which struck a vehicle driven by Rita Huscher, 84, of Olathe, Kan.  Huscher's vehicle slammed into a bridge support pillar on Kansas Highway 7 at the Prairie Star exit in Lenexa, Kan. Huscher was not wearing a seat belt. She died at the scene.
