Spay and Neuter Cuts Ribbon on New Clinic

Kansas City, Mo.-- Spay and Neuter Kansas City is extremely proud to announce the ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new spay and neuter clinic located at 1116 E 59th, Kansas City, MO 64110 (NE Corner of 59th and Troost) on Tuesday, May 12th, at 10:30am.

Special guests include Kansas City Missouri City Council Members Cindy Circo, Jan Maracason, Deb Hermann, KCMO City Directors, Jackson County Supporters as well as major gift donors who contributed to the Spay and Neuter Kansas City Capital Campaign Fund this past year. An open house is also planned for May 27th which will be open to the public.

The new clinic serves as a free and low-cost spay and neuter clinic for pet owners in need. The clinic also hosts low-cost vaccination clinics and through their Pet Outreach Program serves as a resource community center for pet owners in need of dog/cat food, dog houses, and hay. SNKC plans to open a low-cost veterinary wellness clinic within a few months.

SNKC is a nonprofit organization formed to promote spay and neutering as a primary means of decreasing pet overpopulation and provided nearly 5,600 spay and neuters in 2008. FREE and low cost spay neuter vouchers are currently available for pet owners who qualify. SNKC’s Pet Outreach Program supplies food and shelter to needy pets of the community. This program depends on public donations and resources to help needy pet owners suffering from the economy.
