INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – Two metro area communities are pitching in to help make holiday shopping easier for their residents.
The City of Independence is operating the “Inde-Bus” from the Independence Events Center to shopping destinations along 39th Street.
Shuttles will run every Saturday through Dec. 19.
The “JO” in Johnson County is offering a similar service.
Through Dec. 27, riders can park and ride from the Johnson County Offices at 6000 Lamar in Mission to shops on the Plaza.
Buses leave every 20 minutes and cost $1 per ride.
