HARRISONVILLE, Mo. - No suspects, no motive and no arrests. The murder of a loving Harrisonville mother remains unsolved.

Cara Jo Roberts, 30, was found dead in her Harrisonville home on Nov. 5.

Her husband, Jeff Roberts, found her shot to death in their bath tub.

"I close my eyes, that's all I think about. I wake up that's all I think about,” Jeff said.

Roberts' voice trembles when he talks about his wife's murder, and their 2-year-old son growing up without a mother.

"We had a future planned together, and obviously that's not there now.” said Jeff.

From all over the metro, 18 detectives have worked the case, alongside the Harrisonville Police Department. So far, no arrests have been made in the case.

Investigators have released a composite sketch of a person of interest in the case, but no one has stepped forward.

Harrisonville Police Chief John Hofer says the Metro Squad chased down a lot of leads, but not the one they need.

"Physical evidence and forensic evidence when it starts coming back is going to help us immensely,” Hofer said.

In the meantime, Chris Lang, CEO of the Cass Regional Medical Center, hopes money will help.

Tuesday, Lang added $10,000 dollars to Cara Jo's reward fund bring it to a total of $11,000 dollars. Her father works for the hospital.

"We thought this is the one thing we could do to support him and the family in trying to bring some closure and hopefully some information," said Lang.

Information that will hopefully bring closure to the Roberts family and answers to a community that's still looking for a person of interest.

If you have any information regarding Cara Jo Roberts, you are urged to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 274-TIPS or submit an anonymous tip online.
