PLEASANT HILL, Mo. – Nearly 150 golfers turned out Sunday to help raise money for the reward fund for the unsolved murder of Cara Jo Roberts.
The 1st annual Cara Jo Roberts Memorial Golf Tournament teed off at 9 a.m at Country Creek Golf Course in Pleasant Hill.
Cara Jo Roberts' body was found in her Harrisonville home November 5, 2008.
The reward is now $22,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person who shot and killed the young mother.
Her surviving husband, Jeff Roberts, says proceeds from the golf tournament will help increase the reward.
Roberts says he is grateful to the community for the support given to him and his family.
