KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The City of Kansas City will temporarily stop giving out tickets for red light runners at the intersection of 169 Highway and NW 68
th Street.
Many drivers have complained they wrongly received red light camera tickets for making right turns onto Northbound 169.
The problem is the yield sign at the intersection. City officials say the sign is old and the intersection should be controlled by a red light.
The yield sign will be removed in the next few days, but until then tickets will stop at the intersection. Once the sign is gone the city will start handing out tickets again.
