KANSAS CITY, Mo. – About 25 people, some carrying signs, protested outside the Federal Reserve Bank Sunday afternoon.

Organizers said they were trying to raise awareness of the Federal Reserve’s role in the nation’s debt. They claim some Fed actions have been unconstitutional and would like to abolish the central banking system.

Members of the "Liberty Restoration Project" dispute the legalities of the enactment of the Federal Reserve System because they claim the 'FED" is a private bank that is not overseen by the U.S. government.

The group rallied outside the Kansas City branch of the Federal Reserve, located at Memorial Drive and Main Street. More information is available at www.libertyrestorationproject.org.
