KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A group of activists gathered outside the Kauffman Foundation Saturday in a show of force against violence.

The group’s members come from a host of organizations across the city that had originally planned the annual Night out Against Crime event, of which more than 1,000 people attended.

From that event, organizers met Saturday to focus on a number of areas, including families, youth, neighborhoods, gangs and re-entry/recovery populations.

The group hopes that its efforts will eventually lead to reduced violence and murders in the city.

Those interested in joining the effort, or for more information about the group, dubbed Project 365, contact Janay Reliford at (816) 861-5500.
