OVERLAND PARK, Kan – Police are looking for two shoplifters who assaulted a store security guard during their getaway.
It happened on June 16 around 12:30 p.m. at the JC Penny Outlet Store in the 9400 block of West 75
th Street.
The store’s security officer told police he saw the two suspects stealing shoes. As they left the store, the officer tried to stop the suspect wearing the green shirt.
According to police, the two men briefly fought before the suspect broke free. During the struggle, the security guard injured his hand.
The two men were last seen running west from the store. Anyone who recognizes the suspects is asked to call the Overland Park Police at 913-344-7830.
