BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. -- A warning for parents.
The Blue Springs Police Department is investigating an attempted abduction at Daniel Young Elementary School.
A man honked his horn to get the attention of two girls playing on the playground.
When they turned toward the vehicle, the man offered them candy.
The girls then ran to their teacher, and the man ran away.
It happened Friday morning between 9:50-10:15 a.m.
The man is described as a white male in his late 30's to early 40's, thin build, long dark-colored "stringy" hair, wearing sunglasses.
The vehicle is described as a black pickup with a white check on the driver's side.
There was a ladder and furniture, which is possibly a brown table, held down by a blue bungee cord in the back of the truck.
