KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A family was reunited with nearly all of their belongings and memories Thursday.

Police recovered somewhere between 8,000 and 10,000 pounds of hunting gear, children's toys, furniture, clothing and pictures taken by thieves on the night of June 20th.

The Beise family was moving from Minnesota to Texas when their lives were turned upside down.

They spent the night at a Kansas City hotel and when they woke up, their truck and trailer were gone.

Police discovered that the family's credit cards had been used in Belton.  In less than two weeks, detectives found the family's truck in Belton, their trailer (nearly full) in Henry County and more of their belongings in a home in Kansas City.

Luke Beise was a police officer and is now in the Army.  He can't believe he and his family got nearly everything back.  But he admits, it's tough to hide several thousand pounds of goods.

Kansas City police say the case was special to them, considering Beise is a former officer and now serves in the military.  Detectives say it's rewarding to see the family get their lives back.

So far, police have arrested two people in connection to the case.  They have two more suspects that they are trying to track down.
