FAIRWAY, Kan. – The victim of a shooting in Fairway has died from her injuries and police are still asking for your help finding a person of interest in the her death.
Detectives are looking for 53-year-old Franklin L. Grammer Jr., who they call a person of interest in the case.
Officers were called to the 6200 block of Glenfield Drive around 10:30 a.m., where they found 46-year-old Betty Grammer with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
Investigators say Betty was a contracted painter working at a house when she was shot. She was rushed to an area hospital with critical wounds, according to police, but died sometime overnight.
Franklin was last known to be driving a blue 2000 Dodge Dakota pick-up truck with an Oklahoma license 522-MTH and ladder racks.
