PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. – Tensions are escalating in Prairie Village over fired science teacher Ryan Haraughty.
Students at Mission Valley Middle School are placing sticky notes with the letter “H” throughout the school, showing their support for Haraughty.
Principal Susie Ostmeyer is instructing staff to remove the notes immediately.
Several dozen students who picked in front of the school last week are now facing unexcused absences, and will get zeros on any work they missed.
A parent meeting was called for Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at the school to deal with the fallout from Haraughty’s firing.
