KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three suspects in two unrelated out-of-state homicides were arrested in Missouri Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the first arrest happened Tuesday night in Harrison County, Mo.

Trooper Dale Reuter says Ryan L. Miller and Joshua G. Gillian, both of Washington state, were arrested around 11:30 p.m. when they were found sleeping inside a vehicle at a rest stop along Interstate 35 just north of Eagleville.

Reuter said the two were wanted in connection to a homicide in Marsyville, Wash., but did not have specific details about the murder.

On Wednesday, the Jackson County Sheriffs Department arrested Brian A. McGuire, a suspect wanted in connection to a deadly shooting inside a Lexington, Ky., middle school.

The Lexington Division of Police issued a warrant for McGuire Tuesday, alleging he shot to death an adult male inside Leestown Middle School. Investigators believe McGuire and the victim had a previous conflict that may have led up to the shooting. Both were employees of the school.

Miller and Gillian were being held in Harrison County awaiting extradition to Washington and McGuire was in custody at the Jackson County Detention Center in Kansas City, Mo.
