OLATHE, Kan. – The Olathe School District has a new superintendent.
The district’s board of education voted unanimously Thursday night to appoint Dr. Marlin Berry to succeed Dr. Patricia All. Dr. All is retiring in June 2010.
All served the district for 31 years, including the last five years as superintendent.
The search for applicants within the district resulted in Berry’s selection. He is currently the Olathe Assistant Superintendent for General Administration.
Berry was a superintendent for 16 years in the Abilene and Smoky Valley school districts before joining the Olathe schools in July 2007. He has also been a high school principal and an assistant superintendent.
