Northland Walk/Run Honors Memory of Community Activists

NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Avondale United Methodist Church has found a way to honor two former members who devoted their lives to helping others, while encouraging people to get a little exercise.

The Nancy Hodge Shy/ Jay W. Jensen Run/Walk will take place Saturday May 16th.

The walk is a tribute to the memories of Nancy and Jay, to honor their involvement in the church and their community.

Proceeds from the run/walk will go to Midwest Foster Care and Adoption Association, Synergy Services and Northland Health Care Access.

The walk is scheduled to take place at Macken Park in North Kansas City, 1000 Clark Ferguson Drive.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

Fees are $25.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 12 and under.
