OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – A thrift store chain expanded into Kansas Thursday when Savers opened a location in Overland Park.
The new store is located near the corner of 95th Street and Nall Avenue, where the Big Lots store used be located.
The company said it will carry items like clothing, electronics, housewares and furniture.
There will also be a donation center where people can drop off quality, used clothing and household goods free of charge.
During the spring Savers held a job fair seeking employees for 50 positions.
The company also planned to add about 50 workers for its store in Olathe. It is scheduled to open on July 23.
