KANSAS CITY, Kan. – This weekend you can see the newly renovated Granada Theater or play volleyball in the mud. These events along with many more can be found in the

Imago Dei, a non-profit organization, recently purchased the Granada, on Minnesota Avenue in KCK, and turned it into an arts center. This Saturday is their first musical, "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" which will be playing through June 27.
Performances start at 7 p.m. and tickets are $12.50 per person. For groups of four or more, the cost is $10 and for groups of 20 or more, it is only $5 a person.
Two other plays will be showing this summer; "Blame it on the Movies" from July 23-25 and "Schoolhouse Rock Live" from August 20-22.

Mud Mania Volleyball Tournament
If you're looking for outdoor fun, Smithville Lake is the site for Mud Mania, a mud volleyball tournament fundraiser.
The event, hosted by Youth With Vision, starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 27. Teams consisting of 6-9 male and/or females of any age can enter.
Youth With Vision is an organization ran by metro high school leaders who emphasize education to create drug-free communities. Proceeds will fund projects and help the members travel to national conferences and to Jefferson City to meet with legislators.
Mud Mania will be at the Kelsey Short Area #4. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required and the cost is $12 per player.
