SUGAR CREEK, Mo. - By next week, northbound drivers should be able to cross the 291 bridge.
Friday, MoDOT awarded a $330,000 contract to APAC of Kansas.
Work has already started.
The company has until 3 p.m. Tuesday to create a temporary bypass for northbound traffic.
MoDOT closed the lanes after finding significant rust.
It could be months before the entire bridge reopens.
