"You promised things would be different, and it looks like they are. But worse is the change that people voted for,” Rep. Bill Otto said in his YouTube Video.

TOPEKA, Kan – The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) wants a public apology from a Kansas representative who posted a “redneck rap” on the internet.

Representative Bill Otto posted the rap song on YouTube, which explains why he wore a hat saying opossum is “the other dark meat.”

Otto said it refers to his own “hillbilly heritage.”

Critics called the legislator racist, assuming he was referencing the nation’s first black president. However, Otto said he won’t apologize for the video. The NAACP calls it tasteless.

“We are seeing these kinds of remarks made by our state officials. It’s unacceptable and we can’t sit idle as though everything is alright,” said Rev. Ben Scott.

Otto’s second video isn’t entirely critical of President Obama. It praises him for trying to help older Americans.
