TOPEKA, Kan. - There are now 154 confirmed cases of the H1N1 virus in Kansas, after three more cases were verified in Thomas County Wednesday.
The three new cases are all adults, but the Kansas Department of Health and Environment has not released any other information about the victims.
The H1N1 virus has now been reported in 27 Kansas counties. Geary County and Riley County have the most cases in the state. Geary has 10 adults and 16 children who contracted the virus. Riley County has 17 adults and 8 children.
The symptoms of the 2009 H1N1 influenza A virus are similar to the symptoms of seasonal flu and include fever, body aches, coughing, sore throat and respiratory congestion.
