HARRISONVILLE, Mo. – A Cass County grand jury handed down three more charges Monday against a couple involved in a bizarre case.
Danial Rinehart, 47, was charged with another count of child endangerment.
Rinehart was already charged with murder, incest, and rape.
Prosecutors allege Rinehart had an ongoing sexual relationship with his now 19-year old daughter, and fathered four of her children. Three of them died.
The case came to light after two of the babies were found inside coolers on the family's old property outside Harrisonville, Mo.
His wife, Linda Rinehart, was also charged Monday with another count of child endangerment and hindering the investigation.
She was already charged with child endangerment for allegedly helping deliver the children.
The surviving baby, now a 3-year-old boy, is in state custody.
The girls two sisters, who are now staying with different relatives, said life with their family was mostly spent in a cramped overhead camper. The family moved around a lot - from Oklahoma to a series of Missouri towns, including Blue Springs, Independence and Oak Grove. In 2005, the family settled just north of Harrisonville, Mo. on property belonging to the father's parents.
Both Linda and Danial are expected to be back in court March 5.
