LEXINGTON, Mo. - The sexual abuse case against an elderly father and his sons continues to grow.
New charges of graphic sexual abuse of children were filed Thursday by the Lafayette County, Mo., prosecutor and in Columbia, Mo., a search warrant reveals the alleged victims accused the Mohlers of taking them to various locations and photographing them with naked men.
One of the charges alleges Jared Mohler forced a child to have sex with an animal, according to court documents.
More charges were filed Thursday against Burrell Mohler Sr., 77, which include five counts of felony rape.
Mohler Sr., and his four sons have been charged with dozens of other charges in the case.
New charges also accuse the elder Mohler of forcing a child to have sex with an animal, according to the court documents.
The new charges include allegations from a third victim. New charges also were filed Thursday against Burrell Mohler Jr.
The search warrant from Columbia states that the alleged victims told their mother about the abuse, but she did not tell authorities – she told church leaders instead. But the Community of Christ Church Thursday said a check of their records shows no such complaint.
