OAK GROVE, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation is celebrating the completion of a major project through the community of Oak Grove, Mo.
Construction crews began working on improvements to Route F in Oak Grove in July 2008. Crews widened the current route and added turn lanes from 10th St. to I-70. They also widened and resurfaced the exit and entrance ramps to I-70, and added sidewalks throughout downtown Oak Grove.
State highway officials were scheduled to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday to mark completion of the project, which they say will improve traffic and safety throughout the town.
