KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Milan, Mo. man will spend the next 25 years in jail for producing child pornography.
The U.S. Attorney for Western Missouri said Carol Danny Phillips, 55, pleaded guilty last August to taking multiple digital photographs of a 12-year-old girl.
Prosecutors say the photos of the girl in sexually explicit poses were taken sometime in the late summer or early fall of 2003.
This case was brought to light as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
