AURORA, Mo. – A trip to see relatives turned tragic for the family of a 6-year-old girl.
Katherine Goodson died last weekend when a shed caught fire in the town of Aurora. The child from Peculiar was visiting family with her parents.
Police believe a riding lawnmower caught fire in the shed Sunday shortly after it had been parked inside.
Investigators believe the mower malfunctioned and the fumes started the fire. The girl had been riding the lawn mower earlier.
