OAK GROVE, Mo. -- A man was killed after leaving his home on a tractor Wednesday afternoon in Oak Grove, Missouri near Tarsney Lake.

Clyde L. Robey's wife reported he had left their home, near Spencer and Hardsaw roads, on the tractor at about 1 p.m. Wednesday.

When the 88-year-old didn't return home by about 2:30 p.m., his wife went looking for him.

Police say it appears the tractor was driven along a nearby creek when it slid down a 4-feet-deep embankment and into a creek about 100 yards from Robey's home.  The tractor overturned and Robey was trapped beneath the tractor.

Investigator were looking into whether Robey suffered a medical condition to cause the accident.
