OLATHE, Kan. - A 79-year-old man passed away after he was injured in a traffic accident late Wednesday afternoon.
Around 5:20 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Black Bob Road on a call of a reported traffic accident.
When emergency crews arrived, they learned that a vehicle traveling north on Black Bob Road struck a vehicle that was attempting to turn left (east) into a business drive from southbound Black Bob Road.
A 79-year-old man, who was a passenger in the turning vehicle, was transported to a local hospital where he passed away as a result of his injuries.
His name has not yet been released.
No other injuries were reported. The accident is still under investigation.
