PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. - After a rough year for many Americans, we can't seem to wait to start celebrating the holidays. A local shop is mixing the red and green with red, white and blue.

Stoney Broke is a shop in Prairie Village that has a lot of beautiful things for Christmas, but they're also selling a product with a little extra meaning.

They call it “A Light in the Window”.

Shop Owner Joye Adamson says, "People used to put lights in the windows for returning service members and so we decided that was an appropriate name for what we were doing."

Stoney Broke will give 20 percent of the sales of the electric candle or ornament to the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps injured soldiers and their families.

Because men and women are making sacrifices for our country year round, Adamson plans to come up with a non-seasonal candle ring so they can keep selling after the Christmas season.
