KANSAS CITY, Kan. – A 47-year-old Lawrence, Kan., man will spend the next 12 and half years in prison for trafficking in cocaine.

Leland Roebuck has been sentenced to 150 months after pleading guilty in January to one county of conspiracy to distribute or possess with the intent to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine.

In his plea, Roebuck admitted he was part of a cocaine trafficking conspiracy in Lawrence that started in 2000 and continued until 2006.

Co-defendants Gerald Dunn and Shaune Frazier, according to prosecutors, obtained cocaine which was turned into crack and distributed mainly in the Lawrence area. During 2004, Dunn and Frazier relied on Roebuck and another co-defendant, Aaron Jackson, to distribute the crack out of an apartment in the 400 block of Wisconsin in Lawrence.

In May 2004, police searched that apartment, finding crack cocaine, cash and personal items belonging to Roebuck. Investigators say they linked Roebuck to another apartment in the 2400 block of Alabama where crack was also being distributed.

Co-defendants include:
Shaune Frazier, 36, Kansas City, Mo., is set for sentencing May 18.
Gary Brown, 26, Leavenworth, Kan., is set for sentencing May 18.
Troy Jarrett, 36, Lawrence, Kan., is set for sentencing May 18.
