KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Thugs beat one man and shot another in late night violence in east Kansas City.
Police found the beaten man about 11 p.m. near East 39th Street and Vineyard Road.
The shooting victim managed to get to a nearby hospital for treatment. Both men are expected to live.
Detectives think the two victims were involved in a disturbance with another group.
Someone pulled out a shotgun and opened fire while others caught the second victim and beat him.
