LAWRENCE, Kan. - The University of Kansas takes the lead in helping researchers find their answers.

KU is the first public university in the country to allow open access to the work of campus researchers free online.

The program is called KU Scholar Works and can be accessed online.

The site already has about 4400 articles or research papers. More will be added once the school comes up with a way for faculty to submit their work. Once the system is fully operational, KU hopes the general public will find some interesting reading.
