KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Firefighters and police officers usually don’t fight each other. But they’ll do just that this Saturday night for charity.

It’s the 5th Annual Guns ‘N Hoses Charity Fight Night. The event will take place at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan. Boxing begins at 7pm.

The event will feature firemen and cops from Kansas City and surrounding areas. All of the proceeds from the event benefits local charities.

The majority of the money will go to the Kansas City Crime Commission’s Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment Fund (SAFE). It provides financial assistance to the spouses and children of local sworn police officers, firefighters and emergency service personnel killed in the line of duty. The balance goes to amateur boxing programs in the Greater Kansas City area.
