Johnson County Expanding H1N1 Flu Shot Clinic

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The Johnson County Health Department is expanding the list of eligible groups for the upcoming H1N1 flu shot clinic.

In addition to pregnant women, and children between 6 months and 4 years old, caregivers of infants (6 months and younger) and healthcare workers with direct patient contact will be eligible for the vaccine.  All recipients must be Johnson County residents

The clinic will feature both injectable vaccine and the mist. All healthy individuals who are not pregnant will receive the flu mist. Those who are pregnant or have chronic conditions will be given the injectable version.

The clinic will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Northeast Offices of the Johnson County Health Department located at 6000 Lamar in Mission, Kan. The vaccine is free.  The clinic will run until 2 p.m. or until supplies last.
