This proves there are two different court systems, One for the rich and one for the poor.I applaud Daniels mother for the remarks she made at the courthouse. Curtis's mother should hang her head in shame. When does it matter in the court system when you are over 18 what mommy tells you to do? They both knew right from wrong. I f this is the case Why isnt mom being held accountable? Disbarred Maybe? Oh yeah what about the judge? sounds very unethical.

This is so wrong, the judge should be disbarred...

I feel so badly for Kelly (Daniel's mother.) Yes, Daniel may have been intoxicated, but he was WALKING, not driving! Curtis was speeding and drunk! He didn't intend to kill Daniel, but the fact is he did. And, if he had called 911 immediately after hitting Daniel, maybe Daniel could have been saved. Who knows? Both of these families are suffering, yes....but Kelly will never see her son again. Who's the larger victim here? It just illustrates what horrible consequences can come from drinking. How many of us have been "lucky" enough not to have something horrible like this happen to us. Kelly.....my sincere sympathy. Daniel was a fantastic young man.

pathetic miscarriage of justice.

No, the young man should not have been released. His mother is an officer of the court and she should be held accountable for the evasion of arrest...she knew the law and right from wrong...what is drunk too?? The young man killed, IF he was drunk, he WAS of a legal age to drink... This is wrong on so many levels...final words to Jane and Curtis-what goes around, comes around. Bad karma to bad karma.
