LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – A Leavenworth, Kansas Company is celebrating high honors with people high up in the state’s political scene.
Governor Mark Parkinson visited Cereal Ingredients Inc. Monday in recognition of the company winning the 2009 Governor's Exporter of the Year Award.
Cereal Ingredients was named the Governor's Exporter of the Year in June.
According to a news release which quotes the governor, Monday’s visit by Parkinson “gives us another chance to celebrate CII's incredible accomplishments, this time with the company's entire Leavenworth workforce.”
The award goes to a Kansas company for “exceptional international marketing success” and it is sponsored by the Kansas Department of Commerce.
