BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – A family’s Halloween tradition has been ruined by some ghouls and goblins. For ten years, the Fordemwalt family in Blue Springs has been decking out their home on NW Pennington Lane. They say it’s become a neighborhood tradition. However, they awoke to a frightening sight Tuesday morning. A good bit of their display had vanished.
Michelle Fordemwalt says thieves stole about $1,000 worth of their animated Halloween decorations.
“It's an invasion in the worst kind,” Fordemwalt said. “Never in the ten years has anything ever been stolen.”The Fordemwalts filed a police report. Police say the offenders could face felony charges because the value of the theft was over $500.
