HORTON, Kan. – Investigators believe a woman was forcefully taken from her home and that woman’s daughter is telling her mother to hold on.
“Keep waiting,” Rita Kimmi said Sunday night, “Cause we’ll find you.”
Rita’s mother, 58-year-old Patricia Kimmi, has not been seen or heard from since Friday.
When she didn’t turn up to a shopping date with a friend Saturday or answer her cell phone, her daughter got worried.
Rita says her mother’s home was unlocked when she arrived Saturday.
"I have no words for that that,” Rita Kimmi said, “That is just evil if someone did something to her."
The Atchison County Sheriff says she was likely forced out of her home and said they are unofficially calling ‘everyone’ a suspect in the case, including her ex-husband, who has been questioned in the case, but not arrested.
Search crews continued to search for Kimmi late Sunday afternoon and concluded their search around sundown.
Patricia Kimmi has brown hair and blue eyes. She is 5 foot 6 and weighs about 160 pounds.
If you have seen Patricia Kimmi, call the Atchison County Sheriff's Department at (913) 367-4323 or the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
